Bruce Diamond has worked in stringed instrument repair for almost 40 years, He worked fourteen years along side Bernie Lehmann in Lehmann stringed instruments before opening Diamondstrings in 1998. Mr. Lehmann is considered one of the finest luthiers and upper level repairman in the world. As a graduate of G.R.D. (Guitar Research & Design), Bruce learned stringed instrument building from Charles Fox, George Morris, and later, instrument repair from Peter Stokes of E.U. Wurlitzer Music in Boston, Mass. Bruce has worked on literally thousands of string instruments of all kinds. Some of the more illustrious names that he has repaired for or sold to are ,Elliot Easton,,Mark Knophler, Boyd Tinsley, Reeves Gabrells, Peter Wolf, Matt'Guitar' Murphy, Gary Tallent, Brian Ray,[with Paul McCartney] , Midnight Oil, Mitch Easter, Carly Simon ,David Grissman,Tom Petersson [ Cheap Trick] ,Film Director extrodainaire Jonathan Beswick ,Vern Miller [ bassist from the Remains!!] and many others. When you buy from Diamondstrings, you get a guaranteed instrument that is truly ready to tune up and play.
A collector and player, Bruce has many unusual and interesting pieces for the beginner through the expert. He specializes in electric guitars, basses, mandolins,keyboards and assorted violins (and these are the instruments he currently plays in different bands). Diamond Strings is still currently one of the largest 'vintage' Hagstrom guitar dealers in the modern world. Bruce Diamond started playing bass in 1965 . By 1967 he had acquired a Beautiful white F-400 [ hagstrom II] model and he's been playing ever since. Brian is one of the most passionate and talented songwriters I've had the pleasure of being associated with. With Brian I play acoustic Violin with a Shadow FNX pickup, Michael kelly and Paris Swing Mandolins, Epiphone customized electic mandobird mandolin and sometimes fill in on bass. This is one FUN dance band We do mostly bristish Invasion stuff, with a strong accent on The Beatles. For us ',new' means Tom Petty and we love covering his tunes as well. When folks hear Walt O'Brian [ formally of the Chesterfield Kings] sing ,you can hear the sound of jaws dropping all over the room. With Inside Out, I handle keyboards [ yamaha YMP-625] for a great variation of sounds and also play second guitar [ on a great variation of guitars]. I finally get to be like a kid in a candy store and also field test much of my stock [note: . I'm no longer with this outfit but check them out of you get a chance , they're a fine group].

---[ GREAT Neil Young 'tribute band' from the Boston area [ six hours from Rochester NY] , so this band is only part time for me and Neil's music doesn't need what I offer all that much: Yamaha electric piano, acoustic fiddle, Michael Kelly acoustic mandolin,,, amazing Neil sound/look alike and fantastic authentic instruments and playing from Ken Gibson. Among other events, They do an annual Neil Young Birthday tribute gig at B.B. King's in NYC.
Jeff Riales and the Silvertone Express band. AKA [sometimes] the Flipsiders
Great songwriters , soloists AND the hosts of the FLIPSIDE open mike every Thursday night and many other gigs such as Johnny Cash tribute nights, this also features Mike Wittick on Electric guitar and mandolin, Dana Fine on bass adn backgroudn vocals, [ Dana is also an amazign singer 'songwriter '] Joe ' the Grill-man' Grillo on super tasteful drums, .. and also featuring on electric guitar with the Flipsiders . Mr. Steven Piper. Sometimes the amazing Al Keltz on Electric and pedal steel guitar,and often sittin' in with Jed Curran on acoustic guitar and vocals [ I play the bass mostly but in the Silvetone express I play fiddle [various ones but no Strada-various ones], Electric [ Headway] mandolin and my Paris Swing acoustic mandos and sing when I can find a spot on a microphone.
The Dave Pronko Band
Dave is fairly new on the scene but in his mid 30's he is already considered the 'Waylon Jennings of Rochester '. What a voice!!!! . He holds the candle high for real country muic. He's a talented songwriter as well. The 'covers' we do you're just not gonna hear on your local country station. I consider it an honor to play the fiddle and/or bass or mandolin in his band. We sometimes also go out as a duet. !! On guitar is top notch country music veteran Mike Dryda. Mike is the perfect lead player for Dave's approach. Solid , simple and tastefull. On Drums , Mr. Joe Grillo who also plays in the Jeff Riales band.

We do our very best to ship fast for you. In fact most often shipping is done usually within 48 of full payment. For payment we accept Bank checks or postal money orders and direct wiring unless you are paying on a layaway plan and other details are previoualy worked out with Diamond strings. Personal checks also accepted with the standard clearing period. We also accept credit through paypal . [ there is a 2.9 % charge for this service][ 4% for overseas]

LAYAWAY POLICY
We offer a 1/3 down [ of total] plus 60 day layaway program. Many of our customers choose to use this option with the understanding that deposits on layaways are non-refundable and all other shipping policys apply.

Diamond Strings will ship ground FEDEX to the lower 48 states. Most insturments will run about $45-$55. This will cover handling and insurance as well. We also mave many satisfied repeat customers from around the globe. Please call for international shipping prices. The buyer will have 48 Hour approval time for inspection upon receipt from the shipper.* In the event that the buyer decides to return the insturment. A refund will be issued for the full amount minus all shipping costs on the sellers end.. A check will be issued upon the sucessfull return of the insturment in the same condition that it was originally sent . All instruments must be sent back fully insured. Please keep in mind that we have an almost perfect rate of sucessfull transactions. we do our best to describe all insturments in detail and if you are not happy we are not either.

*this does not mean an instrument must be shipped back within 48 hours, But,this does mean that you have 48 hours upon receipt from the company that delivers the insturment[s] to you to inspect it throughly and even do a gig with it if you feel you need or want to. The time limit of 48 hours is firm. This applies to all customers with no exceptions. Should the customer feel the need to have it inspected elsewhere this allows enough time to do so as this can be set up before hand. Mr. Diamond must be contacted within 48 hours to discuss any problem and work out details. This means , that in the event of minor problems such as an adjustments or somthing similar that can be resolved by the buyer working out this by phone with Mr. Diamond personally. [or else by a local repair shop or qualified technician.]. Diamondstrings strongly suggests before purchasing, that all items are described personally to seller by phone with the said item in hand ,before an item is shipped. We do not wish to waste time shipping and restocking insturments so we do our best to accurately and honestly describe all sales prior by phone [ not email]. diamondstrings is a highly qualified expert repair shop and goes over each insturment twice before shipping. [once before it goes on teh inventory list and again prior to shipping] However, some things are subjective to the new owners discression and there are times when things just naturally get loose on older insturments. Although this has never happened, Diamondstrings reserves the right to not accept insturments back and highly urges both sides to act civil in the event of any dissagreement. Bottom line is and always will be that some things cannot be worked out but ,and most importantly, we are not satisfied if you aren't.
